Designed purposeful and dynamic lessons using Lucy Calkin’s Readers and Writers Workshop model, and Marie Clay reading strategies. Familiar with Fountas and Pinnel, and experienced with Literacy by Design reading program. Facilitated student learning and utilization of the six step writing process and 6 +1 trait writing model. Monitored and tracked student growth various means such as conferences, running records, rubrics, checklists, guided reading groups, and having students track their own progress.

Acted as Grade 3 Team Leader and Kindergarten Head Teacher.
